Foodie Review: Coco Cubano
Recently as I was visiting Lakeside Joondalup with my mum, we discovered a place just outside of the shopping centre called Coco Cubano. Now, I have seen a few bad reviews for this place but you can't discredit a place until you've tried it. I didn't even see those reviews until after I had my food there anyway.
Coco Cubano is a Cuban-themed cafe/ restaurant that is complete with traditional cuisine and decor (which I loved). It was designed to infuse Australian and Cuban culture into one and is successful in presenting this in a family-friendly, clean and positive environment.
My mum and I chose a booth that made us feel like we were somewhere in between the 1920s and 1950s, with the delicate wooden tables and bookshelves behind us. *Fun fact: it is also intimately lit, so please do share with your dates!*
The menu has many things to offer such as Cuban sandwiches, nachos, burgers, wraps, salads, desserts and of course: COCKTAILS! The staff were friendly and eager to seat us, quick to deliver our drinks and food and checked up on us to see how we found their service/ meals. I am sad to say that I haven't been there since January, but would love to come back and the next time I am in Joondalup, will definitely come in for a bite and something to drink.
Please do yourself a favour and come in for a treat, you won't be disappointed!
4.5/ 5!
