Dexter: Season Two- Review
It's taken me a while to get back to this series, only because certain streaming services don't own particular rights (i.e. Netflix and HBO/ Showtime). Fortunately Stan offers Showtime and I was so keen to start up my binge, having loved the first season. It offers the same brood and creepy aura and continues to develop character backstories to create one solid piece.
From where the first left off, season two brings new information of Miami's nightlife and Dexter's extra-curricular activities to the surface. There's a particular sub-plot that works well in testing relationships between characters that we've already grown quite comfortable with, the gore gets better and the heinous activities are so intriguing.
Confession time: I'm actually up to season four now. It's literally that easy to binge this show because it's so damn good. As per usual, it isn't overly dramatised and remains true to having a realistic approach to violence and gore. There's plenty more of that in this season. So if you're new to Dexter, keep watching because it's really starting to unfold.
Score: 8/10.
