In this two-part season of Teen Wolf, things take a more sinister and deeply disturbing turn for for Scott and his friends. Plans fall through, unanticipated events unfold and some of the strongest connections are cut.
Out of all the seasons (that I'm up to date with so far), season three has got to be one of the best. There is major character progression, new faces and on top of all that, even more suspense that keeps the audience member on the edge of their seat and eyes permanently glued to the screen. In amongst the seriousness, there's plenty of humour to go around and plenty of appropriate times for tears...unfortunately.
Comparing both parts, part two is hands down the strongest part. But that doesn't discredit the first part. The importance of the first part is to lay down some pre-existing issues characters are faced with, build up tension and that ever-growing hunger of needing more.
I think what I liked so much about this was the dark nature. Around episode 20 (also one of the best episodes), a certain vibe is passed from this point all the way to the season finale. It's tasteful, inviting and...kooky. There's a lot of creativity behind it and I think people need to truly appreciate that when watching this season.
Score: 9/10.
