In this two-part, fifth instalment to the series, Scott and his pack face another new threat. Events and problems they encountered from the first part of the serious uncover a more sinister plan in the second part, ultimately creating one giant and dangerous journey.
There was a lot to enjoy about this season, but it did have moments of dullness. At parts the FX and CGI were horrendous which is disappointing considering that elements of green screening weren't so bad in other scenes. There was definitely more energy in the second part but even then, parts were dry, uneventful or hard to engage with. Despite being slightly shorter for a two-part series (20 episodes rather than 24), there were times when I felt that the season should pull to a finale. But of course, something new began.
Not a favourite season, but definitely one with some unique and interesting concepts and way more gory than previous seasons for the audience member's best interest.
Score: 6/10.
